New Features Coming!

 Permanent link

Thanks a lot to those of you who have suggested changes or improvements.  If you find something going awry with the site, please do let us know - we can usually fix it very quickly.

We are planning (hopefully to be ready before the end of June) some new-style beemies.  These will allow children to create other 'literacy' materials, such as newspaper articles, poems, letters, sets of instructions, plays etc.  The format will be the same (a three-part piece of writing), but we will present the different types of writing in different ways - the most obvious being the 'newspaper' beemie being in the form of a...you guessed it...newspaper...

We hope this will prove popular and useful to you in your literacy classes.

Worksheet Templates now available

We have successfully implemented a new feature which allows you to create a worksheet on the site to help your classes work with Kidscapism.

There are currently relatively few - but you and your colleagues can create them and lodge them on the site - we then automatically format them and present them back to you.  You have the choice whether you share them with everyone, or keep them to your school.  The feature is under development, but currently you can create a worksheet, then search for it, and others - by year group, by activity type, by school, and so on.

We plan to enhance this - to give you the opportunity to choose from a variety of worksheet layouts, and to save your work-in-progress, so that you can come back to it later.  You will also be able to take an existing worksheet and modify it (a sort of 'save as' feature) so that a new worksheet will be tailored to your needs, without you having to re-type everything.

We need ideas here!

We will be expanding this section over the next few weeks - adding resources and worksheets and help files and so on.  Please do think about commenting in this area - just add a comment to this post.

Your ideas will really help us to make Kidscapism better.

Thanks...now comment (please...)
